What is Glolife integrative health?

A decade ago, I emerged from a toxic relationship while caring for my two small children. I was overwhelmed and in disarray, unsure of where to start in sorting out my life. I had a victim mentality and was a chronic people pleaser but I knew that if I was going to keep things together and get us through this, I needed to be healthy, strong, and on the ball. I had to sort my life out.

I was well aware of what I “should” be doing, but if I’m completely honest, I just wanted someone or something to come and save me.

With the vast amount of information available to us about what we should do to feel okay, it can be difficult to hear our own voice amidst the noise. Since this information is often contradictory, we may end up feeling overwhelmed and, at times, even worse. As a result, we might choose to do nothing and continue struggling in a cycle for many years.

Glolife stands for Gemma Louise Life. It all started with just a name, and at the time, I had no idea what I wanted to do with it—or with myself, for that matter. Looking back, I was my first and only client, and that's how I began Glolife.

Over time, my vision expanded in various directions; it evolved, changed, and adapted, just as I did. Glolife survived a pandemic, and now it has finally come together as Glolife Integrative Health and is the ripple effect of my healing journey.

As long as I can remember, I have always wanted to help people. As a recovering chronic people pleaser, I would give and give, ultimately craving love and acceptance at my core. Like many of the women I work with, we have been conditioned to pour ourselves into others—our partners, friends, and children. However, we often overlook the important lesson that if we continue this behavior, we will eventually have nothing left to give. Nobody ever told us that this mindset is unhealthy for both ourselves and those around us, and most of the women in our lives modeled this same behavior.

So, we all just soldier on until we can't anymore.

The infographic I designed below provides an excellent visual representation of what many of us experience. While it ultimately comes from a place of love, it reflects our tendency to seek love from external sources instead of nurturing it within ourselves. When we learn to give love to ourselves first, it naturally overflows to others.

Do you see yourself in the description below?

What can Glolife do that I haven't tried before?

The first vision I had of my own Glolife was helping everyone, and we all lived happily ever after. I thought this was what would make me happy—seeing everyone around me joyful. However, I now realise that this is not what any of us truly need. We don’t need saving; we just need a space where we can think clearly, reflect on ourselves, and figure out what we need to do to save ourselves. The rest will follow.

This is exactly what has manifested with my vision for Glolife. While I still have the urge to help everyone, I now recognise that Glolife Integrative Health is specifically for women approaching 40 and beyond. It is a space where you can achieve homeostasis in your life, and through your own ripple effect, you can pass this on naturally to your loved ones.

If you are a woman approaching 40 or beyond and seeking a path to feeling free and happy in life—while also wanting those around you to experience happiness—you can find that here at Glolife Integrative Health.

This is a place where you can reclaim control emotionally, physically, and spiritually. It empowers you to cultivate the energy and love needed to give freely, without losing yourself in the process.

If you aim to achieve a fundamental sense of contentment—because that’s truly what we mean when we talk about happiness—then this may be what you’re looking for.

And to achieve this we need to focus on three fundamentals: emotional health, physical health, and spiritual health. Concentrating on just one of these areas will only bring us back to square one, regardless of whether it's months or years later. Focusing solely on one aspect is not sustainable and is the reason we often feel discontent. To achieve our goals and find true contentment, we must address all three areas together.

For example, you might think, "I'm going to join a gym, get physically fit, lose weight, and then I will be okay."

Alternatively, you could decide to focus solely on your spiritual health, start manifesting the life you want, and hope that it will eventually come to you.

You might also begin healing your inner child, addressing the roots of your emotional barriers, and learning everything intellectually to protect yourself from missing any red flags in the future.

You will eventually end up back where you started and again searching for answers on the outside.

This is where Glolife comes in, as I have experienced a similar journey myself. I would often go all in with my fitness, believing that if I reached a certain weight, I would finally be happy. However, when I reached that goal and still felt unsatisfied, I thought it was due to my mindset. I convinced myself that I simply needed to will myself into being rich, successful, and happy. When that didn’t work either, I turned to healing my inner child. I immersed myself in learning about narcissistic red flags and the complexities of trauma, thinking that if I could understand how to avoid pain, I would ultimately be happy.

But I wasn’t happy, and I felt worse than ever. I was trying to heal my broken heart through spiritual bypassing, pretending that everything was okay. I attempted to boost my self-esteem with superficial validation based on my physical appearance and material possessions. I also believed that if I had enough intellectual knowledge about perpetrators, I could convince myself that I was healed.

If only there was a sign!

Like many of you, deep down we know that this approach doesn't work, yet we keep being bombarded with expectations about how we should look, how we should heal, and even how we should feel. But there is no one-size-fits-all solution; our journey to healing is deeply personal and will look completely different for each of us. The key is that each person's path requires a unique approach.

Glolife Integrative Health is not a place for temporary solutions or superficial fixes. It’s a space where you can engage in real personal growth—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—whatever that journey looks like for you.
